Our Story
Helping people follow Jesus…
This isn’t just our mission or something we say a lot; it is actually what we are about. It is why we exist. We want to see lives transformed with the good news of Jesus and help people experience the fullest life. Whether you are just starting your faith journey or having been following Jesus for your life, you belong here at Arise Church Denver.
Our church is situated in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver, CO and we love our community. We have people in our church from all areas of our city, from all walks of life, from different denominations and backgrounds. You are sure to find some people just like you. We meet in Hangar 61, an airplane hangar of the old Denver airport. If you are interested in knowing more about our building, you can find that here.
Our name Arise Church Denver comes from Isaiah 60:1-3, which says:
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”
Everything we do as a church, whether it is our ministries, outreach, or church services, points people to the light of God. We want to help individuals, our community, and city arise to brighter and better things found in Jesus. You can find out more about our name change here.
We know that we can’t do everything as a church, but the things we do we want to do well. Our teaching leads to transformation, our worship is passionate, our groups are filled with vibrant community, our outreach locally and globally is bold and we are making a big investment in the next generation. We want our ministries, groups, and serve teams to help you and your family follow Jesus as we all help others do the same.
