First Time

Visiting a church for the first time can be a pretty big step.  Just getting the family up and ready on a Sunday morning is hard enough – right?  Here are some answers to common questions about Stapleton Fellowship Church.

What kind of church is Stapleton Fellowship?

SFC exists to help people on their spiritual journey.  We are a place where anyone, at any point on their journey can come and connect with God.  Our challenge is that you just don't stay where you are.  We want to help you take the next step.  We are a group of Christ-followers and embrace the Bible as our guide to life and faith.

SFC launched in Stapleton in late 2007 and we have been growing and serving in this community ever since.  We strongly desire to be impactful and helpful to our community.  We want the influence of our church to extend far beyond our doors.  Read more about the values that drive what we do as a church.

What's on the other side of those doors?

We know church can be intimidating so we do everything we can to create an environment that is welcoming and comfortable - especially for new guests.  When you come in you will probably receive a handshake and a warm smile from someone wearing a lanyard.  If you have any questions, these folks are there to help.  Once inside we like to give our guests a small guest packet, but if we miss you feel free to stop by on your way out to pick one up.

As you look around we have many signs to help you find your way around, but please don't hesitate to ask one of our volunteers for help.  If you have kiddos you'd like to check into the children's ministry, that registration kiosk is just inside the front doors to your left.

What do you have for our kids?

ELEVATE KIDS - Stapleton Fellowship Church has a safe and vibrant children’s ministry for children birth through 5th Grade. It's called Elevate!  Not only do we provide a secure check-in / check-out procedure, every worker must pass a background check to volunteer in our ministry.  Our nursery is clean and secure, staffed with caring volunteers.  Upon check-in, every parent receives a tag with an ID number that is used for check-out.  We can also flash this number on the screens in the auditorium just in case your little one needs you.  Preschool, kindergarten and elementary age children enjoy fun crafts, songs, and Bible teaching in their classes.
Have a child with special needs?  We desire to be partners with parents of special needs children and understand how simply attending church can be difficult. Please feel free to contact us prior to attending so we can better understand your situation, talk about any concerns you might have, and set your child up with a co-pilot for their time in our care.  Each child is different and we'd love to help create an experience you and your child will love.

Jr. High & Sr. High students are encouraged attend worship services with their families.    Turbulence, a student specific gathering, meets every Wednesday from 6-8pm at Hangar 61.

What time & where?

We have 2 worship services every Sunday at 9:00 & 10:45 am. Children's ministry occurs during these service times as well.  Be sure to come a little early and grab some coffee and snacks.

Hangar 61 is located at 8700 E. 21st Ave in Denver, CO 80238.  Location details here.

What is the worship service like?

Our worship services are about an hour and fifteen minutes long. Services typically begin with upbeat, contemporary style music (Chris Tomlin, Hillsong United, Jesus Culture, etc.), then there’s a welcome time followed by the teaching message. Our services are pretty casual and always filled with opportunities for you to connect with God.

What should we wear?

SFC is made up of people from all walks of life and many generations who dress anywhere from super casual to shirts & ties. In other words, just wear what you’re comfortable in – it’s really not a big deal here.

Can we meet the leadership?

Yes. Generally, our staff & leaders are outside or in the halls shaking hands after the services and are always excited to meet new people.  In addition, every 6 weeks (or so) we host a New Friends Lunch.  NFL meets after the 10:45 service in the auditorium at around 12:15pm.  Here you not only get to hear from our leadership about the vision and mission of SFC, you are also served a great lunch.  NFL dates are always listed in the worship bulletin.   We would love the opportunity to meet you and answer any questions you may have.
