Summer of Love
This summer, Stapleton Fellowship Church is offering not one, but FOUR missions opportunities. We have connected with our partners locally, nationally, and internationally to bring you SFC’s Summer of Love campaign.
We want everyone at SFC to understand and participate in one of the four opportunities this July. Here is a breakdown of the opportunities.

Salt Lake City, Utah | Loren Pankratz | Church Planting
- Loren is set to launch a new church plant in the Salt Lake City suburbs in September of 2010. Planting a church in Utah is much different from anywhere else in the US. We want to partner with Loren to help lay some of the groundwork this summer as he prepares the “soil” to plant a new church to help reach the people of Utah with the message of Christ.
- Dates: July 10-17 (8 days, 7 nights)*
- Cost: Appx. $600*. The trip cost includes all travel, lodging, meals, & insurance.
- Type of Ministry: Evangelism, community service, relationship building, community concert, prayer, & outreach.

- We are returning this year to join Dan & Melinda again as they host their annual VBS in the little village of El Vergel. The VBS ministers to community children and parents alike and offers an amazing venue to build relationships, show love, and communicate the message of Christ. El Vergel is the target of a future church plant and has already begun weekly Bible studies. This is a fun, high-energy event where you will enjoy the love and playfulness of children.
- Dates: July 10-17 (8 days, 7 nights)*
- Cost: Appx. $1000*. The trip cost includes all travel, lodging, meals, & insurance.
- Type of Ministry: Evangelism, VBS, crafts, games, crowd control, family visits, medical clinic (non-skilled helpers), set-up, meal prep, etc.

- Art & Beckie are area directors for the Europe, Middle East, & North Africa (EMENA) wing of Youth For Christ. This project would consist of helping run the Christfest Youth Conference at a former communist camp. Teens will come from around the Czech Republic to learn more about Christ and to build relationships with other teens. If you have ever been to youth camp you understand how powerful these events can be in the lives of teenagers. Come help impact the next generation of Christian leaders in the Czech Republic.
- Dates: July 9-21 (13 days, 12 nights)*
- Cost: Appx. $2700*. The trip cost includes all travel, lodging, meals, & insurance.
- Type of Ministry: Youth Camp, run afternoon activities, “hang out” with teens for relationships and mentoring, graphics & computer work for techies, cleaning, kitchen help. You will get your hands dirty. Trip will also include a couple of days in Prague at the end for some R&R before returning home.
- Those that remain here in Denver will also have a part in the Summer of Love. On Sunday July 11, SFC will join together to tackle a community service project together. Details are still in the works but it will be something simple that you and your family will enjoy. On July 11 we trust that everyone who calls SFC their home will be involved somewhere around the world in missions!

- Sunday April 11 1:15-2:45: Applications Due. First Group Meeting. Support Discovery Begins.

- Sunday June 27: Support Deadline
- July 9-21: Summer of Love Trips
- Sunday July 25: Report Sunday
