YOU SAY GOODBYE, I SAY HELLO |
In a meeting following the February 12th worship service, the members of SFC ratified the appointment of two new elders, Stephanie Staley and Ryan Wickstrom. At the same time, the church said a reluctant “goodbye” (and a heartfelt “thank you!”) to departing elder Steve Annest. Stephanie and Ryan are thankful for this opportunity to serve our church family. They ask for your prayers that they fulfill their new responsibilities with the same wisdom, humility, and leadership demonstrated by Steve and the other elders of SFC. |

SEARCH FOR LAND ONGOING |
We may not be sailing the Mayflower, but we are “pilgrims” of a different sort, seeking a permanent location in the area for our church to call home. Says Senior Pastor Dean Hill, “The acquisition of land and a building is a complex and multifaceted process, and it may prove to take some time. Be assured that we are watching the local real estate situation closely.” Stay tuned for future updates and please be in prayer for the Lord’s guidance and provision as the elders seek His will in this endeavor. |

LET OLD BYLAWS BE BYGONES |
The bylaws of SFC have been in need of a revision and update for some time now. We have now begun the process of doing so. Under the leadership of Rick Antolovich, a team with elder and congregational participants has been authorized to begin this process. Our goal is to have an updated constitution and bylaws ready for ratification by our annual congregational meeting in September. |

EXCITING TIMES AT SFC |
The elders would like to thank everyone for the great involvement in our “40 Days of Purpose” campaign of the last few weeks. We praise God for all He has taught us about His purposes, and for the spiritual growth and heightened participation of the congregation of SFC. It seems God is really moving on our midst, and we give Him praise and thanksgiving for His favor on us. We would also ask all who are a part of the fellowship to pray for God’s blessing on our outreach leading up to Easter Sunday (April 12th). It is our prayer that God will use this season not only to deepen the spiritual journey of our participants, but also to reach many who are far from God and/or participation in a local church fellowship. Will you join us in this prayer? |
Thanks for reading, and check in again next month!
