This page is a forum for the elders of SFC to communicate regularly with our participants about important developments in the life of our church and about the progress of our mission “…to reach the Stapleton Community and the surrounding communities and to provide an atmosphere in which they can become fully devoted followers of Christ.” We will update this information monthly to give you an ongoing picture of our development as a church family and of fulfilling our vision of becoming an authentic community of followers of Christ that has maximum impact on the surrounding community for Christ.

LAND-HO? |
At worship on April 12th, you may have heard Pastor Dean refer to the ongoing search for a permanent home for SFC in Stapleton. He raised a few eyebrows by saying, "We hope to have an announcement about that soon." Be assured that your Elders are fully--and prayerfully--engaged in this important endeavor. Please join us in asking that God make His perfect will known for us. Stay tuned... |

HERE I AM, LORD, SEND ME |
SFC is headed South of the Border in August to join one of our missionary families, Dan and Melinda Nelson, in reaching out to the people of Guadalajara, Mexico. The Elders would like to thank the Nelsons and Executive Pastor Jimmy Smith for their leadership and heart in putting this trip together. See the Missions page for more information, and please consider how you and your family can be a part (at home or abroad) of this exciting Kingdom work! |

EASTER PRAISE |
Praise God for blessing SFC with continued impact for Christ in the community we are called to serve. The Elders would like to share some encouraging "vital stats", including an all-time high of new members committed to fellowship and involvement at SFC, record attendance (259) and many new families at our Easter service, successful sponsorship of the Stapleton Egg Hunt (thanks to the Logues and all who helped out!), a handful of upcoming baptisms, and most importantly several new decisions to trust Jesus as Lord. Lives are being changed by the grace of God and by your faithfulness in pulling together and reaching out as a church body. Keep in mind that where there are great strides or opportunities in Kingdom work, there is often also strong opposition (see 1 Cor 16:9, Nehemiah 4 & 6). So fix your eyes on Jesus, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us! |
